: What is "tweak"?

: It is a way of tuning Windows9x/Me/2000 settings to fit your need. It is very hard to tweak any of Windows 9x/Me/2000 settings by using regedit.exe that comes
with the OP, and it's also very easy to make mistakes in doing so. It's much easier and faster to tweak with "Magic Set".

: What is shareware?

: They are "try it before buying it" software, if you don't like it, there is no need to pay for it, once you wanted to keep it, then you must pay the author a registion fee. Most shareware are very cheap (Magic Set, $22).

: What Magic Set is capable to do?

: Magic Set can tweaks CD-ROM, booting, system etc., it tweaks a total of 20 different areas. For example: disable CD-ROM Autoplay. You can do it by going to Control Panel-->System--> Device manager and choose to disable it. But that's not the best method, Magic Set uses the best method to do this.

: Will Magic Set do any damage to my computer?

: Though, the author have tested Magic Set while writing it, we can not guarantee you that Magic Set won't damage your computer, the author is mot responsible for any damage(s) done to your computer by using Magic Set, so use it at your own risk.

: What can I do if Magic Set causes registion problems?

: We have back them up. All you have to do to restore them is go into DOS7, find regundo1 or regundo2 in Windows\MagicSet and run it.
You can also choose to backup registry when the program ask you to. This method saves the most recent registry, and could be backup later, run c:\windows\magicset\regundo1.

: How come I can't see the effect of tweaking?

: After you've chosen which option(s) to tweak, you have to press the "save" button. Otherwise the change won't take place. Also, most effect will only take place after you have restarted Windows 9x. I'll teach you a trick here, press Crtl+Alt+Del, click on "Explorer" when a window appear, please notice that this "Explorer" isn't the file manage one, then click on "End Task" choose "NO" when they ask you whether you want to shut down or not, wait for 10 seconds, a window appear and it asks you whether you want to end task or not, choose yes this time. The screen will flash once, this method is faster than
restarting your computer.

: What do I do when I encounter problems with the readme file?

: Reinstall Magic Set or copy it again straight out the zip file.

: What do I have to be careful with when using Magic Set

: Do not change your system's language or Magic Set's displaying language.
